Tim & Laura

Wow, what a gorgeous couple.

They chose a weekend that is known for being the hottest weekend of the year....thankfully it fell just a bit short of that.

The location was amazing - The Kilnhouses, Porepunkah.  What a gorgeous place to get ready, get married and laze away a day or two.  The Kilnhouses are tucked away beside the pine tree plantations with Mt Buffalo as the backdrop - this was some location.

I had met Tim and Laura briefly and thought they were pretty special then.  Such honest, open, down to earth people.  The rest of the clan didn't disappoint either.  I felt so comfortable amongst these strangers.

We had a great afternoon and it was lovely to be able to slip away to the beautiful Ovens river to capture a few quiet images with them....then see them off to a reception at Simone's in Bright.

They weren't at all fussed about their photographs - if they got one or two they said they'd be happy.....I managed to get a few more than a couple!

A fairytale....Tim and Laura.

Andreas & Linda - Buckland Studio Retreat, Porepunkah

I felt just a bit apprehensive about this session.
No bridesmaids, no groomsmen....just Andreas, Linda, the Celebrant and her husband - and me!

I guess we would call it an elopement.....but there's no need for words really.  This gorgeous couple new exactly what they wanted and they were completely at peace with their decision to leave behind all the fuss of a 'normal' wedding.

Linda had hand picked her flowers and trimmed them with ribbon herself.
The two wooden birds were a special gift.

They asked me to witness for them.  Once I met them, I was very glad I said yes.
At one point, Andreas even openly said - I don't really care about the ceremony as such - I just want to marry this amazing woman I love.

What a beautiful few hours we had together (in very stormy heat).
Due to our locations and the timing - I didn't get to meet Andreas and Linda until I arrived (probably something to do with my apprehension) - but when it comes to people in love, it matters not.

We had the backdrop of beautiful Mt Buffalo for the photos and the service was held on the decking of the beautiful Studio 5 at The Buckland Studio Retreat.  Once very special place.

Thanks to the lovely Margaret Wilson who was the Celebrant.
Margaret is located in Bright and can be contacted on 0448 551 444

Now enjoy some images of this special occasion:
